Based on our work over the years with thousands of leaders, managers and individuals world-wide, we have built on the ‘Hierarchy of Needs’ pyramid developed by Maslow in the 1940’s and 50’s, and developed a recipe for fulfillment in the new millenium.
Success leaves clues, and there are patterns in people’s behaviour. Our travels and observations have led us to develop the “Seven Universal Life Requirements ©” (ULR’s). Whilst we are all unique and individual, we are also very much the same as human beings. You can basically take all the things people value, desire, need, are motivated by or driven to achieve, and distil them down into seven universal requirements we need met in order to feel fulfilled as a human being.
These universal requirements are summarised by the acronym ADDICTS:
Absolutes, Diversity, Development, Importance, Connection, Trust (Faith), and Serving others (altruism).
We will explore each of the 7 in detail, and see how they can be used to understand yourself and others.
These seven form the ingredient in the elusive recipe of fulfillment. And we become ADDICTS to anything that serves up at least four of them. Many make their way through life knowing something is missing but can’t quite put their finger on what it is. Few experience the amazing feeling and ‘state of mind’ associated with living all seven of the ULR’s.
